The reason im joining the air force is because i want to be in EOD. Ive been in dep for a few months now and my recruiter is telling me that all the EOD slots are being taken at basic. He said that i cant get EOD as a GTEP, so he said hes going to send me in as open electronics and when im down their i can just choose EOD (hes making it sound easy as cake). However, EOD isnt even listed as an electronics job. Its under general or mechanical. If i go down as open electronics would i have the option of choosing EOD? Is my recruiter just trying to get me out of here and down to bmt? or shold i just go talk to the navy to see if i can get it as a GTEP?
Ray- I know EOD is a joint forces school tought at Eglin AFB in Florida by the the Navy, i've done plenty of research on the topic. EOD isnt the sole reason why i chose the Air Force. I also don't remember that being part of my question. Thanks for your time answering my question but i dont need the sarcasm.
