I have a 2000 Buick Century and a 2000 VW Jetta. I have oil filters for both lying around. So I accidentally put the VW filter on the Buick.
I change the filter every 3000 miles/3 months. The filter fits fine (I guess most filters have the same threads.)
Do I need to take the VW filter off and put the Buick filter on? I'd hate to waste all that good oil and a good filter, but I don't want to ruin my engine. My instinct tells me that things will be ok if I just wait and change at the next interval.
What d'yall think?
