I just recently learned about applied bachelor's degrees, which I'm assuming are a lower grade bachelor's degree. I plan on attending the Ontario College of art and design in Canada (for bachelor in fine arts), which apparently is considered a university. I've asked the school but they just told me that they give bachelor's degrees.
What's the difference between an applied bachelor's degree and a bachelor's degree? (I need the normal bachelor's degree for the JET program) How do I find out which one OCAD gives?
Q : I have an Applied Bachelor’s Degree/College Diploma. Am I eligible for the JET Programme?
In order to be eligible for the JET Programme it is necessary to have a Bachelor's degree. There is no specific subject requirement. Applied Bachelors degrees are acceptable as long as they are recognized by a degree granting authority such as a provincial ministry of education. College diplomas and Associate degrees do not meet these eligibility specifications and, as such, do not confer eligibility.
