Onscreen channel listing unresponsive

Hi all

I recently bought a Sony 46" LCD TV and have noticed that the channel guide takes a long time to appear no matter how many times I hit the guide button.

At first I thought it was the remote, so I tried the remote for our second reciever, same thing.

I didn't have this problem on my old CRT television. Any ideas why the channel listing is so unresponsive?
