only fish/chicken diet?

my moms friend said that her doctor put her on a strict diet...only letting her eat, fish/chicken..and any vegetables/fruit she wants. no bread, dairy, or anything like that. tomorrow me and my mom are going to start that diet since my moms friend lost 25 pounds in a month just by doing that! so here's what i'm going to do and let me know if it'll work!

only eat chicken or fish (for meat or w/e)
eat only vegetables and fruit
only drink water
work out for an hour 3 days a week...and maybe a half hour 2 other days
no junk food or anything like that

think i'll be able to lose at least 10 pounds in a month by doing that?
