I retired from the Army after 20 years of service almost 2 years ago. I decided I wanted to work for myself in real estate and remain independent. It is not working out. I want to reenter the work force.
The problem is that I have applied for several financial service and banking jobs. I was offered jobs for a few and interviewed for a few others where a job was not offered.
I have a B.A in Public Management. It is not the best degree path, but it is what I have and I have to deal with it. I was doing very well with the interviews and the jobs but in the last 3 months I have not had any interviews. I cannot get past the online resume. I have redone my resume 3 times and read several books, but what can I do to get my resume read?
I am aware of all the key words etc....but it does not seem to want to work for me. I am a good person and a hard worker but what get I do to get recognized in the HR department?
