Hi, the best free online digital photography course is FreePhotoCourse.com.
Hands-down, the website covers everything about photography. I used to be a novice, but really wanted to take the kind of pictures that you see in flashy landscape, nature and photography magazines. Although I found out pretty quickly that most of the so-called free online courses and lessons are not really free at all and charge a hefty tuition fee. And then I also found out that most of the photography books and even videos are very difficult to understand. I wanted to understand things like manual exposure - and I really tried to study it - but it's a difficult concept to rap your head around.
I found out about FreePhotoCourse.com from my neighbor who happens to be the treasurer of one of our local camera clubs. This was the ticket! Nothing to buy or register for, totally free and awesome. Tons of picture examples and flash tutorials on the site to explain the concepts, which for the first time I actually UNDERSTOOD!!!
I highly recommend it because it helped me take much better pictures - now I can even call them "photographs" - sounds kind of classy, doesn't it
