Online multi player civilization games?

Is there an online game, preferably free, that is a multi player civilization game. There is the option of building houses, maintaining jobs, and things like that. Thank you:)

There are games called browser games that all you need is a web browser. They are text based which means no fancy movie or interface but still pretty entertaining when you get to build up your own empires and face off with other players. Or create alliances/Guilds and engage in wars. Check sources for a couple that i used to play. My favorite so far was Ogame. If anythign try searching up browser game and try a couple til you find that one that suits you
