Online activation of second-hand receivers

I was wondering if anyone has used the online option at bell.ca to activate an additional receiver that they purchased second-hand?

I picked up a 5900 off ebay, to replace my 2700. I know I have to call to deactivate the 2700, but was hoping to get most of the work done myself by doing the new activation online.

But something (including the long thread on buying/selling receivers) tells me this may not work so smoothly with a receiver already on someone else's account (even tho he told Bell its been sold and can be activated by another user)

Any experiences?

Thanks - that's what I figured.

Fortunately, I got a great CSR, and it was done in about 10 mins over the phone.
