Ongoing infection???

I am alittle uneasy about posting this but I am at my wits end with this problem. Hopefully someone can shed some light and give me some advice as to what is happening in this body of mine.

I have had an unpleasant smell "down there" on and off for a while now and it is really starting to concern me. I recently got married and am now on my husbands medical insurance so I know I need to get to a doctor but I didnt know if anyone has had an issue like this. It is really embarrasing to even talk about so I'm sorry if this sounds gross. I just need some advice.

Alittle background..When I first met my husband and we had intercourse, I quickly started getting bladder infections like every single week almost. And they were bad. I never went to the doctor...I just took over the counter medicine for it and it would go away then come back a while later. See, I didnt have insurance up until about 5 months ago when we got married so I never went to the doctor. I havent had a bladder infection for at least a year now but the smell has gotten worse. I am a VERY clean person. I take a shower every day and a bath almost every single night. It is ruining my sex life terribly. A while back, my husband somehow got it out of me as to what was wrong and I told him in so many words. I didnt want to go into too much detail with him because I didnt want him to think I was gross.

I really think it is some kind of ongoing infection in my body. Most of the time, it isnt too bad but some days I just cant stand it. Any advice would be awesome! Thanks for letting me vent!

You need to go to a doctor you probably just have a common bacterial infection. Meds will clear it up. It will get worse and harder to clear up the longer you wait.

Yea, I know I really need to get to a doctor. They just scare me for some reason. I have never had any type of medical issues so I don't think it will be bad news. Hopefully! So, then it doesn't sound like something serious, right? I am going to make an appointment today! Thanks for your advice!
