One sided temple ache..sinuse problem?

From time to time, I get a dull ache on just one side of the temple area which is close to the sinus area. In fact, at the very top of the cheek, close to the eye, is kind of tender. Would that cause a dull temple ache or would that be more of a tooth issue, or something completely different?
 
A deviated septum can cause one-sided sinus problems.

The sinus area is quite large, it's common to have pain or pressure behind the eyes, forehead, temple, jaw - sinusitis can even make your teeth hurt.
