I had a vaginal delivery one month and three days ago. Had a second degree tear with stitches. I went to the doctor and the doctor cleared me to have sex but the area was still red and tender so to go slow. I waited an extra week just to be sure and used lots of ky gel and took our time. I was still a bit sore and uncomfortable so we stopped. An hour later I started bleeding. I am not sure if this is my period starting or if I caused injury to the area where the tear was. The bleeding was all over the pad like a medium menstral flow. Should I call my doctor to try to figure out the source of the bleeding?
