i have a mac laptop running leopard os. im new to mac workings so know the basics but not the nitty gritty bits. good with computers though so can usually figure something out. as the mac is only 3 months old i have had no problems with it. the past couple of days i have gone into system preferences fine but when i click on desktop settings to change my background picture . it has frozen then came up with the ignore, report, relaunch option. either one i choose i try go in again and it does the same thing. what can be the cause of this? otherwise it seems to be working fine. i cleaned up my hard drive but only pictures and duplicates did i delete, nothing under settings. ideas and help would be appreciated
