one fish with ick, will it hurt the others?

if i drop the ick medication in the aquarium will it hurt the other fish. the one that's sick is a black moor and the other one is a fancy guppy i think. and don't tell me they'll kill each other i've already heard that 30 times. my guppy was raised in room temperature water so i know the room temperature at tank at home won't hurt him.
