hey 5 years today thanx to everyone who has replied , to my thread , it was tough but is getting better , i got my 5 year madalion at the noon time meeting then a will get one at my home group at the end of the month , it is thanx to all that helped along with my higher power , who puts people in my life , it was a great day:):):p scott
 
i got a seceret ha ha ha, 1 day at a time an if you woke up earlyer than me this morning you have been clean longer than me ,can you imagine that , keep up the good work kid, an thanx , its a great milestone, just for today i cant but we can :)
 
Congratulations!! That's an amazing job on your part. It takes a lot of courage, stamina and dedication to accomplish that!! I will be there one day.
 
congratulations. 5 years is a good year. The hardest part about sobriety is seeing how many people are sick in this world. Even those that dont drink or do drugs. They dont have very much of a chance to get better, or change because they do not even know there is anything wrong

The program has given me a better way to live. And has taught me I didnt know that I didnt know.
 
:wave::pthank you so much ,it is so true that we just did not know , some of my frienRAB say the poor people that just dont know ,or dont want to know or are constitutionaly incapeable , i borrowed that , i was one that for alot of years i knew i just did not want to do anything about it , thank god i do now, just for today , have a good day scott oh so true 5 an alive

thank you for your replys. its funny that after my first year i said oh it realy is just 1 day atime , an knowing with what the program has tought me , that i am eligable tomorrow an so on , then about 3 months ago being blinRABided, something havenot delt with , it has got better but it is alot of hard work , to go from fleeting glimses , to full compulshone an i know its becouse drinking is the most nateral thing for me to want to do, so hopefuly i will pack more tools to help me with this down the road , an this forum has helped alot . i meen i was so close to going into one of my old stomping grounRAB , it was not funny . this guy walks up to me not sure where i know him from ,i ask where do i know you from , he said AA , i got in my truck an drove home , divine intervention , stinking thinking,WOW thanks guys an girls scott:):wave:
 
hi everyone , well fri is the day i get my medalion , an i will be speaking infront , of about 150 people , yes i still get nervous, but the pay off is great , someone is even making a cake , im not one much for cake at meetings , but now its just once a year , an 1 day at atime, i am not chooseing to feel to bad , becouse 1 week from sat june 7 will be in my head for the rest of my life, it was the day my friend drowned accidently, an i got hit on my bike, so i will just remeraber positive things about ryan , my 21 year old friend who had 3 years clean an sober, he is still such an insperation to all that knew him , an even those that did not, again thanks to all who have helped me , an put your hand out there, if your not posting ,its hard to feel like a part of :p:wave:scott
