ourselves with....? Anything like fairness or efficiency. The main problem is trust, we simply don't trust each other & with good reason. So maybe we are never going to get very far with the human brain alone, too many design faults perhaps.
What do you think about placing the governance of life on earth to some degree in the hands of a super human intelligence, & i mean 1 that could absolutely blow any conceivable system of human governance out of the water by so much that the possibility's were undeniable. What if out society could be made 3,4,5, 10, 20 times more efficient or productive through the near perfect organisation of as much of life on earth that were were willing to take advise on.
Obviously we would need to get over 1 million and 1 problems, many of which Terminator related in origen, but also the whole Isac Asimov argument, & we would need to be a good bit cleverer than we currently are, to make it in the 1st place, the ETA on the beginnings of this AI or the 1st 1 that can open a tin of baked beans anyway is sometime in the not to distant future, from what we have already done, it shouldn't be a problem apparently in the long-run, though i am no expert here.
Given than that no government religion, group of accountants mathematicians Lawyers, philosophers can rise much above the very worst of humanity for very long at any rate.
Once we are able to manufacture an entity that can think and evolve at the speed of a computer, this is an answer i got to a previous question part of anyway.
(Meanwhile, the question of artificial intelligence is going to be solved within the next 20 years. There are already simulations of a rat brain running, a human brain analog is being built. What happens when there are human-equivalent brains that can run and evolve at electronic speeds?) It seems its just a question of processing power & the self correcting complexity that can be written or made to arise from it. Once we have 1 super human intelligence, we can get it to make a better one & so on & so on, until a whole new level is reached Terminator 3 ? err no i don't think so personally no. But still we would need to look at this and 1 million & 1 other things. So say we can make it, & we spend a lot of time looking at those 1 million & 1 other things
As it seems as no system of governance run by humans can be depended on to treat humans very nicely for very long, if at all you might argue. Is something like this perhaps the best shot we have a achieving a planet-wide civilisation.
There would be a lot of work to do, would it perhaps be a good idea to undertake a task like this do you think.
