Once I finish my medicine...?

I have been on medicine for bacterial vaginosis and a UTI, once I finish the medicine and they're gone, can I go back to wearing thongs? I absolutely hate wearing normal underwear, I miss the comfort of thongs.

(And no, this is not how I got the infections in the first place)
