once and for all Explanation for ringtones and wallpaper from Bitpim

here's my problem detailed if it helps.

I've installed the drivers.

I Plug my phone into my pc using data cable, used to make a connected sound now it doesn't.

I click onto bitpim and nothing opens.
thanks

When you connect the phone, do you see it in device manager as enabled?

Additionally, make sure Bitpim is using the correct port in settings. (Curitel Packet Service, which is usually COM4)

Well. I've heard of people not getting a response for 30 seconds+ or so. How long do you give it before you give up and close the program?

Also, you could try putting the phone into USB Diagnostic mode by entering ##7678 into the handset before connecting it to the PC. (Usually needed on Verizon 8910 handsets)

well last time if left it for about 30 Mins.
great idea, i'll try that diagnostic number on mine.
I'll get back to you as soon as I find out

You wouldn't be able to know how to start a computer program
doesn't want to start?
Thanks
