has decided to join the Army? My step-dad is a 35 year old man that has decided to join the Army on the SAME day Obama decided to send more troops.
I'm very proud BUT sad and worried at the same time.
I'm gonna end up in Afghanistan to but I'm O.K with that.........I've not been sad or worried about it UNTIL today.
Because my dad has decided to go now my mentality has changed.........I'm not mentally strong about war now.
I know my family felt the same way about me when I decided to join.........But I don't know how they dealt with it.
I'm O.K with the thought of me dying BUT I can't stand the thoughts of him dying.
But I can't get it out of my mind.
He's gonna go to the recruitment office tomorrow to get the ball rolling.
I'm scared that we are gonna leave my mom without a husband OR daughter.
Can you guys tell me how to deal with this mentally?Have you had a similar experience?............I need advice.
