on sprint, can you just put texting on a phone?

i got my phone taken away for using too many minutes. so i want to know if theres a way where you can only put texting on a phone, like i can't call anybody, just text?
please help, i really want my phone back.

or if there isnt, is there a way that my mom can like but a limit on how many minutes i can use a day?
