On Screen keyboard is gone

Hey guys I am very new to Android, I have a rogers dream for fooling around with, and have noticed that the onscreen keyboard is gone, its not in the settings either, I have reloaded 1.5 in the hopes it would install but it was a no show.....any help me

I never did like being told this myself. But sometimes it fixes even the funky issues. Have you tried receding the battery?
