On Rachel Ray this morning, I noticed that she used potholder cloth to put the cold pot in the oven?

She was putting uncooked turkey in the pot... and then she used a potholder cloth to put that cold pot in the oven.

I don't know if she made an error... or did she warmed up the empty pot before she put the uncooked turkey in it.

SO confusing...

I understand that they have to pretend that the cooked turkey in the pot is very HOT.... to use the potholder cloth... when take it out of the oven...

I don't know.
