On Pokemon heartgold/soulsilver what do i do after i beat the 7th gym leader?

ok so in order i beat 7 of the gym leaders caught the red gyrados and i beat the team rocket hideout. but i still never got the call from the professor! i went to goldenrod and everything was the same i did everything i was supposed to and right now i have 7 gym badges but still no call! what do i do???
i also got the rage candybar
