i would have your parents contact customer service and have them answer your question. if you have the 10.00 plan you get 500 messages that are for other carriers + unlimited mobile to mobile, if you have that plan then it starts charging ten cents per over msg. but still id have your parents call and have them take care of it.. sorry if this confused you.. hope i helped a little.
