On my USB flash drive, some files are not showing up?

i have a 16GB USB and when i put music on it, some files show up and some dont, i kno the files are their coz it says on the capacity that the space is being taken up, but yet i cant see them anyway, maybe ders a way their hidden or sumfin. But i dont kno. please Help!!!!
if i defrag it, will it delete those files that had error in it?
im using windows 2000
 
Files can be made hidden, and unhidden through the same process. If you specify what operating system you're using, I can tell you how to find those hidden files (Different for most).

Ooh, uh...Windows 2000 is a bit..outdated, I'd expected a minimum of Windows XP...
