On Facebook, when u r "chatting" with a friend, you can make smiley faces appear but...?

I'm trying to figure out how to make other emocions like a shark, a robot,etc...what figures do u use to make them (like when u make a smiley, u use : and ) to get a smile...) can any one help me out????

I haven't tried them, but if you know the code you can try it...but i don't believe FB chat is the same as MSN.
