on average, who makes more money...auto mechanic or a marine mechanic?

Just a guess, but I would consider these facts:

Depending on the region, marine can be seasonal

Higher demand for automotive

Higher dollar engines/mechanicals in marine

Recent market trends show decline in marine sports
 
salary wise...i'm not looking for $$ per hour, but how much per year.
the region....Florida...so basically boating all-year round.
