I've a 2011 Camaro 1LT RS with a manual transmission. when i first started driving it i could only take off in first by doing the no gas method (letting of the clutch slowly until the car starts to move). I've been driving it for a month now, so i get out of first the way your suppose to now, also i get off the clutch fairly quickly. I just want to know, was i doing damage to my clutch while i was learning to drive it? i didn't do it for too long, i also got one of my friends to teach me in his Honda, but the difference between his Honda's engagement point and my Camaro's is really different. Once the clutch in my Camaro starts to reach its engagement point the clutch kinda wants to push my foot out. kinda hard to explain i got it now but, it took some practice. i had to order my Camaro, so when i got it from the factory it only had 4 miles and a brand new clutch (of-course). i asked some of my friends who drive stick shift cars and they said that i shouldn't worry because the clutch was brand new, so that little bit of abuse isn't going to hurt it to bad. i'm 21 years old and I worked my butt off to get this car, that's right i bought it myself, well i had my mom co-sign it, but still. Since i payed for it, i REALLY take care of it. thanks to all for answering.
