...like Whelen indash & rear strobe? So my question is this, what color combo's if any would not be legal provided that they are for show only and never ran while the vehicle was in motion or parked on a public roadway. Only parking lots at designated shows etc.
I was thinking of doing a red/white or red/blue combo and getting a box to make the rear brakelights and reverse lights flash as well.
The reverse lights would be installed via a box the other would just be a simple suction cup setup for the front.
My other question is, is it legal to run on private property? And may I even have it in the vehicle even if it is not in operation on a public roadway?
No I am not trying to make a cop car replica or anything of the such. This would be for a $100k race car.
I did forget to mention this is in TEXAS specifically Travis County. I did see all sorts of light combination on motorcycles at the Republic of Texas Bike rally that were on full display on a public street but in blocked off area. All colors ranging from red, blue, white, green, purple and more. Strobes, fades, all sorts of weird stuff. Never saw anyone getting harassed.
