...engine runs rough, almost stalls? and I have already connected and tested the coil pack for fire, the plug has been replaced, the coil wire is good, but it still will stumble especially in gear. I have been after the owner to replace the cat converter for over a year because the motor was repaced due to a blown one. she has repaced the oxysensor and it passed emissions at that time but soon after the light popped back on. this mostly occurs when the engine is warmed up fully. any thoughts here? her budget is, as most of us, streatched and ringing loud and clear.

good answers both of you but I found it. the damb wire was arcing across the exhaust maifold and when i turned the wire over it was blown almost thru. for what ever reason the plug keeps breaking the electrode in the base. maybe its the lack of correct spark we will see.
