On a cell phone, what does a "candy bar" handset mean?

I am looking for a new phone and all the descriptions contain this phrase, but no one defines it. Incidentally, while we're on the topic of cell phones, any recommendations? (I'm not in need of applications or touch screen, and I want something pretty slim.)

A candy bar phone is basically a plain "standard" block style phone. Everything's on the front (except camera, and a few side buttons) and it doesn't flip, swivel, slide, or anything. It's kind of like a TV remote. Everything's on the front and its just a bar. You can type in "candy bar phone" on google images to see some or you click the link in my sources. As fro recommendations, I dont know your cell carrier so I cant be specific but some good ones are the samsung sway, motorola krzr (ultra sleek and shiny), pantech matrix, or a sony ericsson phone (they usually look sleek and slim).
