Omnia II VS Imagio

I'm been looking around for reviews, pros and cons for both. I'm still undecided on them. The main things I use my phone for is texting, checking weather, sports and facebook. I do take pictures with it and like the idea of having a flash for dark places where other phones can't. I have the dare now and I get frustrated with the lag and how small the keyboard is.

OmniaII: For me, I love the fact that it has a flash. I'm a guy and lets face it, I don't have room for a camera to carry around. The swype seems like it could be amazing. I've also heard that it is little clunky and slow, which my dare is and hate that.

Imagio: I've read that its seems to run smoother then the Omnia II and has a better screen. Plus, its global ready. I have never traveled outside US but have been wanting to and to have a phone I'm comfortable with already and not have to rent a phone would be a plus.

If someone has had both, let me know what you liked and disliked about both. Or if you have one and came from a dare, what do you like and dislike over the dare?

Thanks for the feedback :buddies:

Most of the feedback I get tend to slant for HTC. This is due to the Touchflo interface, a little better support from HTC, and lots of support from XDA Devs.

The Omnia II is a bit let down by its TouchWiz interface, which don't look as good as HTC's, and the phone has a slightly lower RAM allocation at 256mb. I think the HTC is at 288 or 320mb. However, the Omnia II does have the faster processor at 800MHz vs. 528MHz for the HTC and it does have a bigger and more glorious AMOLED screen.

I'm at 60% for the HTC and 40% for the Omnia II but I suggest that you need to go to the store and have a hands on both phones to have a real feel with them and take my advice as subjective.

Thats pretty much where I'm at. I check pc magazine.com and they had reviewed them. The Omnia II i guess is not as nice as they expected, but they didn't review the camera on the Imagio. They also said the Omnia has tons of "apps", so much that its a little overwhelming, and it tends to slow it down and not make it run smoothly. I'm planning on going to the store tomorrow to play around with them and I'll probably start with the Imagio when I upgrade in couple days. If I don't like it, I have 30 days to switch I believe....
