Officially Update Faq:
What Should I Need For Updates ?
1-Windows XP Will Be Better
2-USB Cable &Normal Cable Will be Much Better
3-FULL Charged Battery &Make Sure Before Do Anything
How To Update?
1.Install ActiveSync4.5
Download the installation program.

Download the proper version for your language and start the installation.
2.Connect ActiveSync and backup necessary data
Connect to the PC by using the given USB data cable.
(It is recommended to connect directly to the PC rather than via USB hub.)
If connection fails, please try again after closing PC firewall or Anti-Virus programs.
Please make sure to keep ActiveSync connected after finishing data backup.
Please connect to ActiveSync even when a backup of data is not necessary.
3.Upgrade
Caution
- During the upgrade, all the data stored on the device will be lost. Please check again.
- The upgrade process should not be interrupted. It is recommended to close all other programs running on the PC.
- Please follow the instruction of the website to download the proper version of the program.
If you do not find any problems after reading cautions, please read and tick off the check boxes in order.
- Execute the downloaded program.
- Download starts. Wait until the download is complete.
- Download is complete and the device will be reset. Now, you
may remove the USB cable and close the application.
Possible error during the upgrade
Device Not Connected
If ActiveSync is disconnected, the window as shown above will be displayed and you cannot tick off the check box. In this case, please have ActiveSync connected. After completing ticking off the check boxes, press Verify device.
Incorrect Software Version
A window as shown above will be displayed when the software version of the device to be upgraded is not correct. Please check the version again and connect the right device.
Low Battery Charge Your DEvice
A window as shown above will be displayed when the battery runs out of power. Please charge the battery and try again.
Image Version Verified PLease Press OK To REset Device
A window as shown above will be displayed when the device is identified. Pressing OK button will reset the device, and the update installation will start automatically
Caution
Upgrade will erase all the stored data on the device. It is recommended to backup necessary data before starting the upgrade.
This upgrade is supported only when online and downgrading to the previous software version is not supported. For more details, please contact your nearest A/S centers.
Make sure there is no action which could interrupt the upgrade process during upgrade. (You must not turn off PC or the device, remove the USB cable or finish PC applications during upgrade.)
Battery must be charged enough to keep the device on until the upgrade is complete

How To HardReset Your Omnia:
METHOD 1 (only the phone)
1. Poke the soft reset hole beside your power button(Poke and Release)
2. Press and hold the Call and Cancel Button together(Do it immediately after Step 1)
3. Do not release Call and Cancel button, the Samsung Omnia Screen Appear
4. The Reset Screen will appear as below
Press Call to Format or End Call to Cancel.
This hard reset does not erase the 16GB memory or 8GB Memory
METHOD 2 (phone and/or storage card [option])
Settings > System > Hard Reset. There is also option to format the storage card.
METHOD 3 (Phone but BE CAREFUL because there is no possibility to cancel)
Just key in the following code on your Dial Pad
*2767*3855#

How To Unofficially Update Your Omnia Using GRandprix:
1.Install Omnia Drivers i will attach it here
2.Make Sure That phone's Battery is Full
3.Open I900XXXX.exe Depends on Version u need
4. Remove Phone's Battery &Connect Usb Cable &Install Battery Once U Connect it U Willl Find START Button Enabled in Updater Press Start &Never Tryy to Disconnect the phone after update started
Wait until the updater shows JOB DONE! DO NOT DISCONNECT BEFORE.

If you get 'Incorrect Software Version' when trying to update, here's the fix!
Press the 'dial' key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialerWith the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*#Select 'Preconfiguration'Enter code *#81230*# and select OKSelect 'Singapore', with the default OperatorAccept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESETRun update, and all should be well.

Free Unlock Method From Other Forum &I Didn't Tested it yet:
1. type *7465625*638*# to set
2. type your MCC/MNC code (list here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_Network_Code), e.g.26003 for Polish ORANGE
3. type your new NCK (12345678), then OK
3. type *#7465625 to check your lock
4. type #7465625*638*# and type your NCK (12345678)
5. enjoy.
from Polish pda site (http://pdaclub.pl/forum/index.php?topic=120622.0) for samsung i780, but it works also on my Omnia (DXHL2_LFI04a).
If you have a problem (like "Fail to Set Locking status"), change the ROM on the other (for example, as in my message, do not forget to backup), then work, then go back to the old ROM.
