I just turned 17. So I remember bits of the late nineties and everything since the millennium.
I miss the 90's though. Maybe I just miss my life from that time, I don't know. I just feel like it was better.
Before everyone had computers with high speed internet and cell phones. We still used tapes in the car, CD's were just becoming popular. My parents had pagers. Everyone kind of had a plain style. The music. The movies. The TV shows.
But, I don't remember a lot of it like I said. I really don't know the fashion of that time or who had computers or what was on TV. I didn't get cable until like 8 years ago, I watched Diagnosis Murder and Ally McBeal as a child lol.
I also like the 80's though I wasn't alive for them, they seem like a fun time. The rock n roll. The big hair. The make up. The fashion.
I just think about my life as a teenager now and I think it kind of sucks. All we ever do is get on our computers. When we hang out everyone's texting. Everyone knows everything about everyone from the internet.
Do you miss the past? This is pertaining to people in their thirties and older.
People who lived in the 80's and 90's and earlier.
Do you think those times were better? More fun? Just better to LIVE in?
I feel like they would be. I'm kind of anti-technology though, especially for someone my age. I don't like texting and I refuse to get a touch screen phone because I don't know how to work them and I think the idea of having your "life" (aka your email, facebook, internet) in the palm of your hand is dumb and makes you a little insecure.
I'm just wondering, I want to know from people who LIVED it. Do you miss it?
