older men in chat rooms?

I regularly use this chat room and im serious everyday i get men 30 and over trying to chat to me: and its gross. I'm 17 years old why on earth would i want to chat to men who can remember the 70s, and in all honesty they only want sex talk or to comment on how young i am does anyone else chat to older men in chat rooms if so what do you talk about? I personally cant see how a teenager would have anything in common with a 40 year old man... i'm single and im not on the lookout for anyone but these men assume i want someone; to be more specific them
 
i'd stay clear of chat rooms in which 40 year old men are using..
they obviously have no life whatsoever, and resort to chat rooms to lie about their age, looks and personality, in hope to find the perfect cyber soul mate?
classic pedophiles.
