Older Giant Cruiser Bicycle?

I have recently purchased an older Giant Men's Simple Single Cruiser. It has only one speed. It is white with blue and red stripes along the bar with a number 1 in the middle. The Chain guard is red with blue and white stars across it. it has white wall tires. This bike is very USA patriotic.

I was wondering if anyone knew the model year of it?
