well i just saw this film the other day and wow was it great but when i saw the octopus bit i could'nt watch it...that was'nt a real octopus was it :eek: He bit its head of and it was still alive!!! i hate fishfood and that has just put me of even more. also wouldnt that be like animal cruely or whatever if it was real? i hope he was paid millions cos no way could i do that not even for 10 million and not even if the other choice was death
 
I have only got to watch half of Oldboy (thanks to the girlfriend who thought it was crap) but apparently that was a real octopus and the BBFC, who often demand any animal cruelty to be cut from films, allowed the footage to be kept in as it was part of the story.

Personally, you wouldnt get me to eat octopus - dead or alive!
 
It was a real Octopus! Not exactly akin to 'Cannibal Holocaust' in the animal-cruelty stakes, but AC nonetheless. Nutritious and delicious - watch those tentacles grapple up his nostrils :eek:

You should make an effort to check out the full flick, Damaja. It's wonderful.
 
I have heard so much about the film and I was enjoying what I have seen of it. Anyway, the girlfriend is out babysitting tonight which means this might be the best time to watch it again :)
