Hello

Does any one remember this?
It came out when I was about 7 and was one of my best movies back then.

I watched it for the first time in like 10 years the other day.

There also about 8 sequels but ive never watched them.

I saw the first one at the cinema when it came out.

An orphaned brontosaurus named Littlefoot sets off in search of the legendary Great Valley. A land of lush vegetation where the dinosaurs can thrive and live in peace. Along the way he meets four other young dinosaurs, each onea different species, and they encounter several obstacles as they learn to worktogether in order to survive.
 
i used to be obsessed with dinosaurs as a boy and really enjoyed the movie - even just for the visuals of the dinosaurs - i thought the voice over work and songs where just girly!! but loved the little Parasaurolophus, Ducky - who screamed a lot.


since seen it as an adult - and enjoyed it, found it very short! only 65 mins? or something like that.

i loved to have seen the original version - which mounts up to 40 mins more - but was all cut out due to Spielburg and Lucas feeling the T-Rex's scenes would cause psychological damage to children! from the man who brought us Jurassic Park later on! however - i dont actually think the extra footage was ever made.

and it has many many sequals - about 11 of them. but all straight to video only films.
 
I plan to buy the whole lot for my kiRAB when I have them. I have the first few already...The first few were great, but now I fear they've just become silly, not having seen any after mumber 4 (i think). I wore the VHS out when I was little, watching it every single weekend.
 
The Land Before Time 1 & 2 were some of my favourite films when I was younger.

Rewatching #2 last year I realised the songs are pretty awful but I preferred it to #1 when I was a child because it's more upbeat. Would've liked to rewatch the original as well but I seem to have lost the video.
 
I loved the Land Before Time. My frienRAB and I used to play at it, I always demanded to be Sarah:o

I can't really remember the sequels, think I saw two.
