Hi All,
I have an old honda lawnmower from the 80's, it has always ran without a single problem until it was stored for a while with petrol still in it.
The carburetor needed to be cleaned, so i took it apart and blew out with compressed gas, then cleaned with penetrating oil. It started easily and 1st time, but it wouldn't run correctly. I tried adjusting the screw on the carb, but it seemed to make no difference. I assumed i had lost something during cleaning and bought another second hand carb. I put it on and the lawnmower had the exact same problem! So im stumped....Something which i thought was interesting is when i shut of the fuel tap on both carbs it will run perfectly for a second just before the engine cuts out from a lack of fuel, making me think its flooding.
Can somebody help, i think ive tried everything.
By the way, the when its running on full throttle, the engine runs at low rpms and kind of clicks and bangs.
Thanks in advance!
