Okay, I'm trying to create a creature for my story. I NEED YOUR HELP!?

All right. Now, I want this creature to be rather humanoid. Something of a demon. I'd like it to be quite dangerous. I was thinking about having it eat decaying corpses of humans....but I'm not sure. Help me think of some original chacteristics of such a being? (appearance, habits, mortality, etc.?)
 
Long white or black hair, feral looking eyes red as blood a scar across one eye making it half blind, markings on the face ( Egyptian like ) sinister smile. Long claws, ghost like hands, or gloves are common. Long black cloak. If it eats humans something like a light, staff, spell would be used to lure them. That or have it stealthy. Muscular for a guy, martial arts for a girl, magic and weapons work for both gender.
I'd make it live in an deserted area near an often used road. If this or anything else you get doesn't work well check anime. Most of them have demons of some sort. I'd recommend Inuyasha. It's a serous only dealing with demons and humans. It's on cartoon network every day. It's part of adult swim and on at about 4:30 week days and 4:00 to 4:30 week ends.

its from the movie jeepers creepers he appears to look like a man from a distance but he all evil up close.hope the picture gives u some Inspiration

idk but he has sharp claws:)
ummm,comes out at night.
as instincts like a
bear
he hibernates.
it lives in the random grave holes after
eating the decaying corspe
and moves from hole to hole everynight when it gets a chance.
rarley but sneaks into human populated areas and attackes them
with anyone not knowing thinking it was a serial killer,
after he moves from a grave it puts the dirt perfectly bakc like it was never dug out.
ohh and maybe if you want to...
during the time it hibernates instead it could be human for that period of time..
or it could shapeshift...
im sorry i ran out of sucky ideas:(


or you could just make it a vampire but instead of blood it
useses the decaying corspe:)

He's captivating and mysterious, draws you inside him in a way.
He can't be out at night because his soul takes over his free will
He reads a lot to keep his mind under control. He has bad scars from battles he fought.
Deep melting eyes, rough heavy hands, uncontrollably curlly long hair
grows hungry after so many weeks
super strong, amazing excileration and can key in on peoples thoughts and emotions.
 
Hm... I'm not very good when it comes to the 'new species' department, but most of the people I know who are tend to make the background of those species based on animals on earth with humanoid appearances, et cetera. Perhaps try researching carrion eaters, such as vultures and hyenas and the like and developing a few characteristics from them?
