OK to freeze Costco bakery items?

I'm single but shop at Costco where things come in big
"amounts".

Was at Costco yesterday and they had a great sale on
Muffins.... any two 8 packs for so many bucks

Being single I didn't buy them but afterwards got to
thinking maybe I could have froze them in freezer yes?

Bottom line, is it ok to freeze pre-made bakery items
and is yes how long they be good?

Baked goods probably freeze better than any other foods. I freeze
muffins all the time, never kept any long enough to know how long
they'd ultimately keep but I do know that after frozen for six months
no one could tell from frozen for six days. I put a half dozen in a
zip-loc and seal while squeezing the air out, they keep just fine..
they'd keep in the fridge for a month too.

I freeze baked goods all the time. The key is to make sure they're
well protected so they don't get freezer burn, dry out, or pick up
freezer odor. I usually wrap the items individually in plastic wrap.
Then, I put them in a ziploc freezer bag. Then, I put that bag inside
another ziploc freezer bag. If the items are soft, I freeze them
first individually before putting them in bags so they don't get
smashed. I have a stand alone freezer that I use for stuff like that
and I've kept stuff for 6 months or longer and it's stayed fresh. If
all you have is a refrigerator freezer then you may want to keep them
for only 3 months because of the door being opened and closed more
often. Here's a secret. Those pre-made bakery items you see in
grocery stores come in frozen. All they do at the store is put labels
on them and put them on the shelf.

Wow, everything save entombing in a pyramid. I very occasionally
freeze muffins in one zip-loc, mostly however I place the zip-loc in
the fridge, they keep fine for over a month, how much over I can't say
because they're eaten before the month.

I like to be extra careful, especially with things like hamburger
buns. If they pick up the taste of freezer they're inedible. Sweet
items are a little more forgiving.
