.. had a power cut while flashing! but thank god i was flashing on my laptop anyway, reason i updated was because i was getting sick of nokia saying there is no update lol (im on orange uk). back on topic, what is the most current version available? i at the moment have:

v4.0623.0.42
RM-92

cheers v4 is much better than v3

when trying to download the phoenix cracks and it says bandwith limit exceeded

ive got the phoenix app and diego app, but cant get the cracks

thanks m8, but the bandwidth errors have disappeared today so ive been able to get the phoenix files

ive also downloaded the v4 files from gsmegypt... are these an egyptian version firmware? as the file titles say v14, whereas i thought uk phones should use v01??

well i got diego/phoenix installed and working, so i thought id test it out on my 6280 before i took the plunge on my N80

tried updating the 6280 from v3.81 to v 5.92 and it got right to the end of the flashing process, then failed. the phone now doesnt switch on at all and cant re-flash it, so im looking into how to fix it

glad i didnt do my N80 first! :-)

nope removed the memcard and sim before i flashed it, and taking the battery out doesnt make a difference

tried to reflash back to v3.81 but it seems (as the phone wont power on) that phoenix obviously doesnt detect there is a phone there to flash

the "flash dead phone" option in phoenix is blanked-out so i cant even try that

hmmmmm

Finally got it to work, managed to work out how to activate the "dead phone flashing" option and it re-flashed first time. So now my 6280 is running v05.92 instead of v3.81... and it's much better for it!

Also on the plus side, i managed to update my N80 to v4 via the NSU app, so now both my main phones have up to date firmware

Thanks for the input coolad

In fact I just went one better and reflashed the 6280 again

I decided to get rid of the O2 firmware, so i reflashed it to 6288 generic v5.92 firmware

Not sure what the difference is but it works nicely
