Okay, I was born and raised in Detroit. Besides the cold weather and the pessimism of the inhabitants, its okay. If there were another city outside of Detroit that I could have this gift I would consider that too.
A loft off the water would be awesome!
I lived in Atlanta, haterville central. I hated the neccessity of appearance being more imporant than anything else, very stressful and very fast paced. Yes, I know Im from Detroit but Atlanta is waaay faster than Detroit. Didnot know that beforehand. Plus all the homosexuality and it being close to no. 1 in HIV really made me fearful to raise a oneday horny teen make there.
Austin was really great, so was Houston and San Antonio, but the HEAT was terrible and I could not breathe in the summer. The only debbie downer for me.
California was great but I feel is close to Atlanta and silicone valley and snobbiness, not to mention the cost of living. I only make 50k and probably could not live to happily there in these times. Last I was there I was in the military and paid for nothing but my car note so it was great. Dont think it would work out well for me to live there now. And from what I hear, the silicone beach bods is out of hand and makes Altanta seem great. So its a no go.

A little about me? I am an African American woman, a young professional 33 with the oppurtunity to take my job anywhere in the country. I have a 5 year old son and his father will remain in Detroit

I have goals of being an entreprenuer aside from my primary profession, maybe continue education in law school. Id love to live in a loft within a thriving city but with a country feel. Im not into the cold very much but would love to have all 4 seasons with a temperate climate year round. Not cosmopolitan but not conservative either. Liberal would be great, churches great as well. Entertainment, greenery, low cost of living high COLA with wages, real estate investment oppurtunities, and land land land. Where do you sugggest. Im a Pisces if that helps. Id like to spend the rest of my life at the next location and am looking for opinions as to where one could possibly begin research. Im not into being a place where natural catastrophes are likely either. Allsuggestions are welcome.

Remeber: entertainment, professional, spiritual not religous, more friendly than not, low STD rate, health conscious, educated, multi cural, oppurtunies, temperate weather, low cost of living, greenery, land, water, liberal

* WHICH CITY AND STATES DO YOU SUGGEST, WHY, AND HOW DOES IT COMPARE OR DIFFER FROM THE PLACES NAMED ABOVE?
off limits: New York(too fast, too many ppl), Colorado(waaay to white),Washingon (high STD), Knoxvile(too backwards) hope you get the picture. I want to live peaceful like Im retired, but also have the advantage of a young vibe not far away to keep me in touch with my generation.
