Ok in all honesty what's the mpg on a 1982 ford lincoln town car?

I found one but i'm just curious, because the .gov site on fuel economy said it's 15 city, 20 highway and 18 together, and it said on a ford taurus 1998 16 city, 20 highway 18 together now is this accurate if it is then tell me.
 
I don't believe they had od tranny yet so the mileage would suck.. heavy car with a v8, 12 in city and 16 hwy
