But I am having problems with my env when sending texts now and I read your other post so I am going to post the link here maybe if we can get all the info kinda in one spot it will make figuring this out easier???

So if when I tried to *228 my fully flashed w/evdo prl workin it reverts back to 1x does this mean that *228 will mess up the flash done to the phone as well??
And just to let you know Juan ...my env wouldn't OTA even once soooo ? Maybe we can sort thru this stuff and come up with something? I know Cricket won't do it for us! LOL!
 
Ok, here's the story, I had a vx5300 flashed to cricket, and I decided I wanted an upgrade so I bought the vx9900, and I changed my accounts vx5300 ESN nuraber to the ESN # of my LG Env vx9900, and manually flashed it to cricket, by puting in the MDN and MIN, SID and so on. I programed it over OTASP, and it activated and work fine. Then, I decided I wanted another upgrade, so I decided to sell my LG EnV to one of my frienRAB. Then, I told him i would flash it for him, so I changed his cricket ESN # to the one of my LG EnV, and i manually programmed everything, but as i tried to do OTASP, It doesn't activate?

Can Anyone help, Im really desperate and need HELP PLEASE?
 
so ISRIAM, what your saying is load the PRL with LG Download, then just enter everything manually like the MDN, MIN, SID and it should work? So after I do all of that i won't have to OTA and the phone will work?
 
Yeah, i know, but the first time i flashed it, i didn't load a PRL, i did OTA and entered everything manually. But do you know if when you do OTA, the lates PRL gets installed? As far as the MIN, MDN are concerned, they're correct but im not sure if the SID is. Where can i check to see if all those values are 100% correct?
 
When you do OTA it loaRAB the prl for you so that you have an updated PRL. If his MIN and MDN is correct I would check the SID. How did you manually program this in the first place.
 
No prob ...me too! Why would I be able to send picture messages but not regular texts??? I am really not likin this silliness! lol!

you cant OTA the enV more than once or twice. Read through the forum you'll see where this has been brought up. I've flashed 10-20 of these in San Diego and they OTA out of the box, but after a week they won't OTA again.
 
Well, I just registered the LG EnV's ESN # to my account and then when to the service program menu by entering 7 zeros, then i went to edit NAM 2 and entered everything manually like MDN, MIN, SID and so on. Then the phone restarted and then i programmed over the air and worked for me the first time. But when i did for him, it didn't work?
 
yes juan, just enter all the stuff manually. thats what i do to my phone whenever i change my phone nuraber.

MIN, MDN, SID, and load PRL and it should work on your account. You can *228 to listen to cricket recording to verify the PRL load worked properly.
 
yeah like Isriam said it wont let you. If it's already been flashed to cricket you already have a prl on the phone. and instead of writing to nam2 (unless you are running dual nam's) then try writing to nam1 and see if that helps you.
 
Hey Juan keep me posted about your phone! I can't do anything with mine until I am back in Hades (at my house hehehe!) with access to my own computer. For now my phone is working ok but like I said ...If I want to text I have to send as a picture message for it to go through.....and that was supposed to be an option that is lost when you get your phone flashed to cricket...I originally had someone else flash my phone and was told oh yeah everything is working that should be ie WAP unlimited talk and text....all I had was unlimited talk ....thats why I did it myself after I paid for it to be done! At least I have WAP, BREW etc now no thanks to them! Oh well...I guess I keep it like this for now!
 
dam, i don't want to buy a new phone?, i was wondering though, if i cancel my account with cricket and then, open a new account with the ESN # and all the info as if i was a new customer, will that work?
