Ok I just told my parents I'm interested in the occult?

My parents are Christian and preety much believe I'm into Satan worship( which I'm not) the reason I got into the occult is because throughout my life ive always had a natural nac for weird things.such as telepathy, telekinesis, clarevoyance, etc... So they got me to admit that I was going to buy some tarot cards and they flipped and were telling me that if I wanna do that i should move out (can't) so should I just give up on trying to talk to them and continue to practice in private and just try to avoid them knowing or should I try to make them accept what I am? Serious question please don't be annoying/immature

Have you tried explaining exactly what it is that tarot cards are? I find that a rational explanation helps. Try this:
Tarot cards are a tool. They are not associated with any particular faith. They are a tool, and nothing more. The subconscious mind has access to information that the conscious mind does not. The shuffling of cards allows for a random display of symbolism that the subconscious can then interpret in regards to the situation.

Try not telling your parents you're into "the occult". "The occult" is a scary phrase, which has been demonized by Hollywood through such wonderful movies as "The Craft".

What else are you trying to do? Are you experimenting with your faith as well? Or do you still consider yourself a Christian? It's fine if you do. There are PLENTY of Christians who read tarot cards and tell fortunes. The only time I ever had my palm read, it was in a room that was STUFFED full of Catholic icons and imagery. She actually had me place my hand on an open bible.

A good way of approaching the subject could also be to say that you're interested in learning more about things that you've been experiencing.

But just for the record, I'm going to say it again: Tarot does not have any specific religious affiliation (depending on the deck you use). There are hundreds of decks, each with their own particular meanings. Reading tarot is not going to bring spirits or demons into your house. You will not be consorting with the devil, or with god for that matter: only with your subconscious. Good luck! Feel free to email me if you have more questions/need clarification on anything.

1. the term "occult" is not necessarily the correct term you should use for what you are talking about. It has a bad stigma attached to it which many groups and people don't like &/or misunderstand.
2. SHOW them what you are doing instead of springing things on them and having them get you to admit, because that would be one of the real reasons they "flipped"

I suggest that you show them why you are heading down the path you are taking. It is how you approach them with this that can cause problems. Show them you are not being foolish by discussing what you have learned and ask them to look at it with you. It has a tendency to ease the tension and show that you don't take it lightly. If they still persist (and since you said you can't move out) I would suggest you honor their wishes and wait until you are on your own before practicing your beliefs.

Hope this helps.
