do so i dont get any more flat tires, there are a lot of thorns and burrs where i ride...do they make tubes that dont puncture? special liners? tubeless tires? whats the best most economical way to avoid this problem, i bought a bike and two hours later had two flat tires..yes i know i need to learn to change tubes and use patch kits and stuff and there isnt anything i can do to 100% avoid flat tires but surely i can improve my riding situation and not get two flat tires in a 30 minute ride..

please help...im a newbie..lol...sigh.

You can either buy expensive tyres like Gatorskin or you can use a combination of things such as a puncture resistant tyre liner and self sealing tubes. The liners will prevent thorns, glass etc. from penetrating the tyre and the self sealing tubes just require you to pump them up again and in the majority of cases the puncture will be sealed.

I'm australian so if your not I don't know if you can get these where you are but,
You can either get thorn proof tubes which are a thicker tube or you can put two tires within each other along with the tube on your rims which will help with the thorn problem, that's is I'm assuming you have a mountain bike or bmx bike if you have a racing bike I wouldn't advise putting two tyres on each rim. hope this helps.
