I need some help determining what to do. I am a beginner mechanic and I am taking on a seemingly large task. I am replacing my mopar 225 (cracked block) and after buying a used replacement and spiffing it up a little, I decided to check for leaks... (should have checked for leaks first)
My main concern was the oil pan because I replaced the gasket, but there is no apparent leaks there. just above the oil pan on the front of the engine, I believe it's the timing chain cover, there seems to be some sort of rod sticking out and oil is leaking from it. The engine is on it's side right now, and i figure that typically oil wouldn't be able to reach there. any ideas on how to prevent the leak?
