I am a part owner of farm in Garrad County, Ky. We have recently been approached by an independent land man, working for JURA energy, wanting to lease oil and gas on our 84 acres for 5 years......he offered us $5 per acre for the first year and $1 per acre for the following 4 years. Totaling $758 for all 5 years! This sounds like rip to us! Also, he only offered us 1/8 of the royalties. I would like to hear from someone who lives in KY and can share information with me about oil & gas , Ky laws. etc. I also would like to hear from anyone who has had experience with oil & gas leases. PLEASE Help! Unfortunately we cannot afford a lawyer but would like to see something happen with this....how do we go about renegotiating or getting another company to do it for us??
