Oil Change

iI just bought a 2007 S40 with 500 miles i now have 1500 mile on it when should i change my oil?

Did you have the 1st service done? If not you are around 1000 miles over the necessary oil change. Oil is cheap compared to a fried motor.

The first oil change should have been done at 500-600 miles. If it wasn't or if you don't know, change it immediately. Every 2000-3000 miles is fine after that, depending on your riding habits.

Just to quote one of my professors, he'd said "as a marine engineer, you'll have 3 problems in your career at sea, (1) lubrication, (2) vibration, (3) salary".
